“10 Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.

11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops.

12 Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim his praise in the islands.”

- Isaiah 42:10-12, NIV

God is active among us and our community, and we are committed to living out our faith through meaningful service for one another, our neighborhood, and throughout the world. Inspired by Micah 6:8, “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God,” and compelled by Christ’s love, we engage service in formal and organic ways.

Church programs and neighborhood partnerships offer strategic and focused ways to give our time, special abilities, and resources. But we are also attentive to the everyday, spontaneous movements of the Spirit. We believe small gestures matter — like kindness to a stranger, dropping off dinner for a friend, speaking out against injustice instead of being silent, or helping a neighbor in crisis — in ushering in Jesus’ reign.

Pastor Kim experiences accidental fire at home

Workers were repairing the roof when a spark ignited the attic insulation and fire quickly spread inside the walls. Between the flames, smoke and water damage, the interior was gutted and the house declared a total loss

“Had it happened two weeks prior, my kids would have been home distance learning, but they just went back to school,” she says. Her husband was at home and able to get out with their two dogs, but little else.

Racial Justice

We are engaging conversations around race and our Christian responsibility to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8). During a recent six-month racial justice conversation, congregants explored Austin Channing Brown’s book, I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness, alongside articles, videos, and research presentations by other congregants.
