How accessible are you?
We care about spiritual and physical accessibility. This means we try to offer moments of explanation throughout the service (e.g., what the prayer of confession is all about) or name the next component coming. What if I don't know what I believe?
You and most other humans. Thank you for naming it! Jesus’ own disciples had lots of questions and doubts as they followed him into a new way of life. At FPCEC, you’ll find that we are confidently joyful about what we know to be true—that God loves and saves us; that life, death, and resurrection is the pattern of all things—while holding space for mystery, questions, and all we don’t know. Come as you are.
I've been hurt before.
There are increasing numbers of people who want to follow Jesus, but no longer want to go to church. Some have valid concerns about the institution of the Church or its relevancy, others have been hurt. We want to manage your expectations up front: we are not perfect, we are in process too, and sometimes we do things that are dated. But, we are committed to learning, living, and loving more like Jesus. And we have fun along the way.

What can I expect on my first visit?
After parking around the circle or across the street in our parking lot, you will be warmly greeted by ushers and offered any information you need. We share in the sacrament of Communion the first Sunday of the month and all are invited to Christ’s table.
How should I dress?
Please come as you are, really. Our folks aren’t pretentious. Some enjoy dressing up but most people dress casually. Wear whatever makes you comfortable. Our pastor likes to robe, but often has jeans and boots on under. You be you.
Is the church ADA compliant?
Our church is accessible to those in wheelchairs and with walkers, with no steps up or down as you enter our space. The Department of Justice (DOJ) published the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design in 2010. As a church, we have worked to ensure ADA compliance. If you need any assistance, our ushers are available to assist you.
